Part of the challenge of developing for the web is that things can look different in different browsers. While the W3C sets forth standards in order to ensure that all browsers render pages in roughly the same way, a given page displays slightly differently in Chrome then the way it looks in Firefox. These issues are called rendering differences, and they arise because these browsers use different rendering engines.
